Its that time of the year again. Next Week is JavaOne at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. I will be learning about Java powered robots, Java frameworks, and crazy web 2.0 apps among other things. Not sure if this will be my last JavaOne or not, but I will definitely make it count.
Last years JavaOne got me really inspired, in many different areas and it was a great feeling to be learning again. The conference single handedly got me out of a 2 and 1/2 year slump. It got my mind going and it actually was the catalyst to the site you see in front of you.
I even designed the new Third at last years JavaOne, the proof is below.
Yep, crazy 3d editors and autonomous robots were also on my mind. Thats the kind of conference this is, its wild but it really gets your mind going. Third didn't end up exactly like that design but you can see where it started. Also cut off in the pic is a design for another site of mine, but I will save that for later.
Don't worry there is still time to get your game on while learning about all the fun new stuff. Even the conference security takes time away from asking people to show their badges to have a quick game of NHL or something.
My personal favorite is the Java powered robots, I don't know what it is, maybe its something about being a kid and loving robots that makes it so cool to know that you can program them.
I plan to update twitter and pownce while I'm at the conference, maybe more if I have time.

Will do. I was going to use pownce for linking cool stuff but it crashes on the iPhone. I will try to update here more.
