Went to a really awesome session at JavaOne by Jean-Francois Arcand and Ted Goddard about Asynchronous Ajax and non-blocking IO. I really hadn't even thought about the problem let alone the solutions already out there. I do realize when you are using anything with a push theres a lot more server side processing and waste going on, but I guess I didn't think it was all that important, but now it makes sense. I just think its awesome that the problem is already solved and things like Jetty, Comet GlassFish etc are already taking care of it.
